Ros Roca and FiraTàrrega created the "International Award Ramon Roca Boncompte Cultural Studies"

The two entities have opted for a new award that wants to reward the best research in the field of cultural management and diffusion will be one of the prizes with more funding in this field at European level

Mr. Roca Boncompte was a lover of culture and a great reader. Throughout his life created a personal library with his favourite works, which were many. The passion of Mr. Roca Boncompte by the culture in general and reading in particular is the reason why from Ros Roca has promoted the establishment of the "Ramon Roca Boncompte International Cultural Studies", along with Fira Tarrega.

The two entities have opted for a new award that wants to reward the best research in the field of cultural management and diffusion will be one of the prizes with more funding in this field at European level. Recognition of unique characteristics in Catalonia, will be worth 6,000 euros and a sculpture commemorating the artist Antoni Boleda. In addition, the winning work will appear in a new collection of cultural studies joint initiative FiraTàrrega Ros Roca.

The award is aimed at international level and has a clear European vocation, as it may submit original works in three languages: Catalan, Castilian and English. In this sense, the publicity campaign will take place in various cultural publications from different countries. The delivery of the work, which must be unpublished, must be made between October 1, 2010 and April 1, 2011 at the headquarters of FiraTàrrega.

The jury will consist of a member of Ros Roca, a member of Fira Tarrega and a faculty member from each of the following universities with Master's degrees or cultural studies: Universitat de Lleida, Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. According to schedule, the award will be given from June 2011.
